Sample Project 1

We worked with a large plastics manufacturer to understand the origin of cloudiness/haziness in one of their products. When process conditions changed slightly, the optical clarity of the final product suffered. We used mesoscale modeling (polymer Self-Consistent Field Theory) to propose the hypothesis for the root cause of this defect (phase separation of one of the minor components). The client used these results to redefine and improve their process.
